Rainy Leah is a four year old girl who hails from Sudan. Much as it pained them, her parents sent her to our orphanage a few months ago when her older brother was killed in Darfur. Her parents expressed a wish to remain in contact with Rainy, and if the war ever ends they would like her to visit. She is very shy, but kind. She is very good at embroidery, and loves to teach other children how to do it.
Please keep us updated on Rainy!
PS - an open adoption is basically where you allow the child to remain in contact with their parents/sibs. A closed is the opposite.
