[Opinions] Roshanaz
What do you think of the name Roshanaz? I just wondered, i found it in an old post by someone else on the babynames.com forum. It said it was an Indian (asian) name and means bright and glorious, and i thought it would brighten up boring surname Jenkins. Opinions? I think the stress could be ro SHUH nuz or ro shuh NUZ

I'm pretty sure it's Persian-at least, we have Persian friends who have a daughter named that.
I agree with Akis about it being Persian; Roshanaz definitely sounds way more Persian than Indian to me, and "az" is a fairly common Persian ending for names.
*If* it is Persian, it should be pron. Roh-sha-NAWZ.

I know a guy named Roshan (ro-SHAHN is I believe the correct pron. although he's called RO-shan as well. it seems weird to pronounce the A as UH in an Indian name, so I'd say ro-SHAH-nahz/nahs.
I don't think it's an amazing name, but it's ok. Although if I read it, I would expect an Indian/Pakistani girl to ahve the name.

That's a heavy-duty name, and I think I like it. I suspect it's Persian.
