[Opinions] WDYT of Albelinda? (m)
I found it on a site of medieval names and this was listed under female, during the 11th or 12th centuries.
I can't remember if it was spelled Albelinda or Albelenda but either way, I took a fancy to it. I like most names with "linda" in them - Linda, Melinda, Belinda, but this one is out there. Not to mention, it's very, very, very "old fashioned" lol
WDYT? Would any of you use it? Could you see it being used today? What would you think if you met a woman with this name?

Albelinda sounds ok, but I don't personally like names with Linda in them. I think that Albelina sounds nice.
Thanks

Oooh, I'm a soft touch for historic names. Albelinda is sweet, although I don't really see it on a modern girl unless she goes by a nn. Of course, you could always tuck it into the mn position, under cover so to speak.
Albelinda reminds me of Rosalba. You might like that one too.

Sounds a bit mashed up, though the sounds are pretty and the meaning and images evoked are all quite tender and sweet. Another -linda name that's a bit exquisite like that is Ethelinda / Ethelinde.
Hmm... I normally like -linda names, but I'm not fond of this one. Seems a little contrived to me. Sorry!
I actually like it!
Although it sounds weird out loud, simply because I've said my name 'Belinda', for 19 years :P
But yeah, I like it. There are enough weird and wonderful names out there for it to work, I think. She could always go by Allie or Belle. Maybe I just like medieval names too much! :)
