It's not my usual style, but wdyt of Ferdinand? The nn would probably be Freddie, as much as my parents would oppose. =PFerdinand Robert and Ferdinand John came to mind - pretty much any simpler, more traditional middle name would suffice, so if you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)P.S. A GP of mine these past few days has been Frigidian nn Freddie, but that's probably more unusable. I just adore the sound of Frigidian, but the frigid part is too much. =/

I had a pet duck with this name!That was when I was, like, five years old, and I was all about naming things... Every stuffed animal of mine had a name, and any wild creatures near us could be guaranteed to have a name.
I love this name though -that's why I used it! And it was really quite fitting for my duck ;)

Love it!I hadn't ever thought about it before just now, but it's on the list now. Freddie is a good nickname as well.I have no combos, as usual. Ferdinand John is good.

I would go with a fairly simple, vowel-heavy mn with Ferdinand. Something like Ferdinand Emil, Ferdinand Amyas, Ferdinand Oscar, Ferdinand Elias, Ferdinand Ilya, Ferdinand Abram...

Wow, someone else here who likes Ferdinand! Ferdinand is one of my favorites, though I like Ferdi or Ferdie as a nn. Ferdinand is a little wussy for the 21st century, but I think you can get away with it if you call him Freddie. Both the mn's you suggsted sound fine to me. You were right to give up on Frigidian.
