John Lennon. Then John the Baptist. Then John my priest, then John the red-headed druggie, then John the druggie who was so bad his parents sent him to live with his carpenter uncle, then John David the guy my friend loves, then John with the ponytail, then John who used to sit by me in band, then John my mom's friend, then John Wesley, then John Henry my quasi-friend's brother, then John Reich (my character), then John Adams, then John Smith, then Big John from that old country song. I could go on and on.

John has no personality. John is every boy in the world.

Benedict. (But I think Benedict goes best with everything.) Most things go well with John, but I would pick something interesting and distinctive to counteract John.

James is better. Jack is a nickname. Jacob is worse than John. William also is worse than John. All are good though.
