I'm sure I could take a person named Zel seriously.
It's hard for me to get an image of a woman with the name, though, because I immediately think of the former (male) senator from Georgia, Zell Miller:

Ugh, forgot about him. :-/ Not the kind of association I want, sigh.
Well, at least I haven't yet abandoned Evening-Katharine-Ruxandra and the like in favour of Zel alone. :D This one may have to remain in the theoretical realm.
