This is my son, Anakin Robert.
Say: Hi, Anakin.
Think: May I call you Vader?
This is my daughter, Lorelei Rose. Sometimes we call her Rory.
Say: Hey, Rory. Nice to meet you.
Think: Love Lorelei, love Rory. Rose flows, but I am sick of it as a middle name.
This is my son, Basil Thomas. That's pronounced BAZ-ul, not BAY-zul.
Say: Basil! I adore your name!
Think: And you pronounce the same as me, too. This is an absolutly wonderful name.
This is my daughter, Lilac Cecelia.
Say: Hello, Lilac.
Think: Too many hard Cs, especially because the name is at the same time very feminine.
This is my son, Reid Martin.
Say: Hey, Reid.
Think: Meh. Don't like or dislike em.
This is my daughter, Benjamina Grace. We often call her Benny.
Say: Hey there, Benny!
Think: That's adorable. Benjamina sounds really odd with Grace though.
This is my son, Frederick Daniel. We sometimes call him Freddie or Fritz.
Say: Hi, Fritz. That's a very cool nickname.
Think: The full name's nice, too.
This is my daughter, Iris Lucasta.
Say: Hello, Iris.
Think: Lucasta? All righty then. We'll just...go with Iris.
This is my son, Theodore Marcello. We usually call him Theo and sometimes Dorian.
Say: Nice to meet you, Theodore. So, which do you prefer, Theo or Dorian?
Think: Love every single part of this name. But you do realise that you've got brothers called Dorian and Basil? Might as well throw in a Lord Henry for good measure.
This is my daughter, Augusta Patience. Sometimes we call her Gus.
Say: Hey, Gus. What a sweet name.
Think: That's adorable and I love it. I feel bad, I feel like I'm not critising your names enough...
This is my son, Dashiell Andrew. He usually goes by Dash.
Say: 'Ello, Dash.
Think: So, where's his sister Violet then? Oh, right, couldn't see her over there. How's the superheroing going for you?
This is my daughter, Esmeralda Verity. We usually call her Essie.
Say: Hi, Essie.
Think: Sounds too much like Bessie...
This is my son, Job Christopher. That's pronounced JOBE, to rhyme with lobe and strobe, not pronounced JAWB, to rhyme with Bob or Rob.
Say: Hi, Job! I love your name.
Think: I do. But of all namesakes, this kid's got one of the worst.
This is my daughter, Virginia Opal. We usually call her Ginny.
Say: Hi, Ginny!
Think: Ginny's adorable, Virginia's very nice. Opal is very much nms.
This is my son, Edgar Matthias.
Say: Hey, Edgar!
Think: I like Edgar a lot...though to be honest when I first saw it all I thought was: J. Edgar Hoover.
This is my daughter, Dahlia Temperance.
Say: Nice to meet you, Dahlia.
Think: I'm sorry, what was that ma'am? You hope your daughter will become a prostitute?
This is my son, Simon Peter.
Say: Hey Simon.
Think: A little boring, but nice.
This is my son, Duncan Leopold Ezra.
Say: Hi, Duncan.
Think: I like his middle names, and hate his first. Maybe he'll be one of those people who go by their middle name?
