Alexander-- I wouldn't describe it as popular, but as a classic!
Cole-- I think it's usable with Cate! I wouldn't worry about the "trendy" thing either, seeing how it originated in Anglo Saxon times...
Joel-- I love this name! (of course you don't wanna pair it with cole!)
Samuel-- I like this one
Travis-- and this one too!
I like one name being longer and one shorter, like Catherine Lynn,so my favorites are Joel Russel and Alexander Cole.
Both names go very well with Cate, too!
