Help[Opinions] Maximilian?
I've really been loving Maximilian lately. It's much more appealing to me than other Max- names, such as Maxwell or Maxim. This name seems really strong, and I especially love the 'milian' at the end for some reason, and the nn Max!

WDYTO sibset Maximilian and Alexander, nn Max and Alex?
I love those names together, because they give me a similar feel. But are they too themey with both the x's?

What a coincidence!
My 2 year old son is named Maximilian and he's the only one I know. I'm a fan of the name myself, and particularly like it paired with the middle name Anand. That's my little boy's middle name (wewanted a Hindi name to tie in with his Indian dad)

I love it, but I wouldn't use it.

I adore Maximilian nn Max, but my first crush was named Max(well), so it feels weird to add it to my list...But, I love seeing it on others' lists.
I detest almost all Alex- names. Sorry, but I've known far too many jerks who were NN-ed 'Alex' or 'Lexi'. But, I can see why people appreciate the classic Alexander.
Max and Alex as brothers are a little too close for me, though. I much prefer Max and Felix, as Isla suggested.

I love Maximilian, too. Max and Alex would be a cute sibset. The x's arent too themey, imo.
The only thing I wouldn't like about them as brothers is how unusual Maxmilian is, and how plain Alexander is in comparison. How about Alexandros and Maximilian, nn Alex and Max?

I love Maximilian, it's one of my top names for a boy. It's very difficult to find middle names for though imo, too many syllables.
I like both names, but as a sibset I do find the Xs a bit much, sorry. Just glancing at the names on your profile, I think Nathaniel goes well with Maximilian.

Maximilian is my favorite Max- name, though it's not necessarily something I'd use. Max and Alex are cute for brothers, but I don't know about Maximilian and Alexander. Maximilian is less common and more unusual than the overused Alexander. Alexander and Maxwell would make more sense, imo. Or Felix and Maximilian. :)

Thank you for the suggestion! Felix is nice. (I also love Felicia and Felicity!) Maxwell is nms though, but it's cute!
And that was something I was thinking about; Alexander being so overused and Maximilian being uncommon. But I'd probably use Max and Alex and not so much the full names, so that might be a little better. I'd be more likely to change Alexander than I would Maximilian, so I might try to find some other Alex- names and take Felix into consideration! Thanks!

I like the names Maximilian and Alexander together in a sibset. I also like Maksimilian and Aleksandr together. I do think that Alex and Max is a little annoying, but I suppose it could be much worse...you could add Lux and Maddox into the mix! I think that Maximilian Alexander would be a good full name if you decide against the sibset.

I think Maximilian is an okay name, but you'll probably end up calling the little boy Max instead of using the whole entire name. I prefer names like Maxwell and Maxim because they're not as long or complicated, and shortening the names to 'Max' seems less necessary.
As for the sibset Maximilian and Alexander/Max and Alex, I think it's a nice sibset. And no, the x's aren't too themey (IMO), but they would be if Max and Alex rhymed.
