I like it in theory, but it seems hard to pull off, and I really, really don't like the NN Rod. I first encountered it years ago when I read Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher," and he was an awesomely creepy character. So while I have a bit of a soft spot for it, I don't know that I find it usable . . as a FN. I think it's open season as a MN, though. Roderick Lysander is a bit much, yes. I think it works fine with two syllable names, though. Henry Roderick / Roderick Henry -- perfectly fine. :)
