Malachy is an Irish name (or at least an Anglicized version of an Irish name). Some sources say that it is the Irish variant of Malachi, others say that it has a completely different root.
But whatever the source, Malachy is definitely pronounced "MAL-uh-kee." I think it's gorgeous.

Yep. I saw it first in a TV show about St. Malachy and they prn it MAL-uh-kee as well. I like it too.
