[Facts] zay-LYE - Possibly Biblical?
Yesterday I met a brother and sister whose names really intrigued & confused me. The names were pronounced zeh-meh-RYE (boy) and zay-LYE (girl). I think the boy's name was probably a Hebrew pronunciation of Zimri. Does that seem likely? I have no idea what the girl's name could be. Any ideas?

Well, they're certainly not Hebrew pronunciations. Zimri is pronounced simply zeem-ree. Zay-LIE doesn't look like any Biblical name - the closest is Tzila (Zillah), and I doubt that's it. I am using the Old Testament definition of Bible, though, so it might be something in the New Testament.
It does sound awfully like "they lie," though.

How about ZELAH? nm
