[Opinions] Voltairine
I know it might sound funny, but just go with me here. I was reading up on Emma Goldman and ended up learning a whole lot about an anarchist feminist named Voltairine de Cleyre. She was named after the philosopher (Voltaire). It's by no means my favourite of names but I can't say I dislike it either. Do you think a child could pull it off as a middle name? Any combos?

I think it is cute, but I wouldn't use it as a first name. I actually like it though. She could go by the nn's Vollie, Terry, or Riney.
Reminds me of the medicine, Voltaren.
It's interesting, to say the least. I think I prefer other feminine twists on the name, like Voltairina, Voltaira, etc. Just about anything can go in the middle name spot, so it's a good spot for names like this.
I think it sounds best with a more ordinary first name.

I love the Voltaire connection, but the real problem I personally have with this name is that it's way too close to "voltaren" a medicine against back pain. Maybe that's only in some countries of continental Europe, but I I think it's called "voltarol" or something in the UK, which is still close...
I like Voltaire, but not Voltairine
