It's nothing I'd use myself, but I think it's fine for both genders.

me too..I mean, it sounds better on a boy but has historical usage on both genders, for example the legend of Morgan Le Fay. It's not like it was just randomly placed on a girl in modern times. But, if I were to use it, it would be on a boy.
