I'd imagine that part of the sudden usage of
Aoibheann and Aiobhinn might be attributed to a rise in popularity of names like Evie/Evelyn in the UK as a whole. Perhaps parents are looking for a name which sounds similar to these popular options, but is also a bit more unusual?
