[Opinions] Caleb or Kaleb?
Which spelling of this name do you like better?
And are there any other spellings of it that you have heard of?
Thanks.

Caleb.
I haven't heard this name much, but I like it with a C so much better.
I prefer Caleb. Cs just look nicer to me
I prefer Caleb.
haha. The only way I have ever really seen this name is with the K, and I kind of thought it would be nice and different with a C. I guess I was trying to make it "trendy" the wrong way...
thanks for your guys opinions. I think I'm going to do it with a C.

Caleb
Kaleb was the name of a king of Axum (an ancient African kingdom) in circa 520, but since probably very few people know about the king, Kaleb is usually just a tryndee, confusing misspelling created to make Caleb more "unique" and "special"... by jumping on the trendy bandwagon of utilizing the currently extremely popular letter K.

wow - never knew that! :)
apologies for thinking it was a twisted spelling! I still prefer Caleb (though I dislike it), but interesting fact. I might just go and look him up!

Wikipedia!
Here he is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaleb_of_Axum. I ran across him browsing the royalty pages, specifically the former monarchies.
Axum was, more specifically, a kingdom in Ethiopia. It was also the name of a minor character-of-the-week in Star Trek: Voyager. :-p

I reckon he would be an awesome namesake!
Only obviously if it is intentional. I like Caleb a lot (one of those names I would use if my SO loved it...a definite compromise name), and I love history...I would consider spelling it Kaleb now. I think historical namesakes are great...I plan on one of my daughters having the mn Maatkare which was the throne name of Hatshepsut as well.

Well you could go trendoid on us and go with:
Kayleb
Cayleb
Celeb
Kayy-lebb
but I would stick with Caleb :) It's nice and solid, though popular.
