I associate Brandy with a girl I met once who was really immature and stuck up. She wore too much makeup and dressed inappropriately.
On the other hand, I associate Brenda with an adult friend of mine who was really sweet, funny, and was refined but not constantly serious.
I like the name Brenda, it ages very well.
