There is a village called Tuchin, or Tutchin, in Ukraine, formerly in Poland. Is this the place you refer to? If so, I think you've hit the spot.
There is a Polish surname, Tuczynski, which I think is from this village name. The Ukrainians would spell it in their own Cyrillic script, which would likely become Tuchinsky in the Roman script. You can see the various forms of the place name here -

I'm not sure. We don't know exactly where our ancestors came from. That's just extrapolation on my part.Do you know anything about people with this surname? Where to find them?

You could try a search on www.genforum.com, adding /tuchinsky if you want to be specific. If you don't find anything there you can sign up and post your own query.
There's also www.jewishgen.org which has a wealth of information about European Jewish communities pre-World War 2.
