Amélie Celeste is 14 years old and had been acting as a mother figure to her baby sister, Liane Noelle. She is from a fishing villiage on a small island off the French coast. She is a bit small for her age, yet still healthy. She has shoulder-length dark brown hair and large, inquisitive blue eyes. Amélie has never known her father, but her mother died while giving birth to Liane. Oftentimes Amélie becomes very upset when caring for her sister, as she knows that it is something her mother should have been able to do, but is very intelligent and understanding of the circumstances.

Liane Noelle is Amélie's baby sister. She is only 1 year old and has been brought up by Amélie. She has never known either of her parents, but as far as one can tell, she is very well loved. She has a small amount of blonde fuzz for hair and eyes identical to those of her sister.

Luka Fyodor is a 16 year old boy from Russia. He speaks a few butchered words in English, but will need to refine his language skills once adopted. Luka is quite tall and strong with light brown hair and blue eyes. He is minorly autistic, though not enough to greatly interfere with daily life. He is quite athletic and particularly loves to play soccer. Luka's mother (he doesn't know his father) had to put him up for adoption when she became ill with cancer. Soon after he was living in the orphanage she passed away.
