[Opinions] "Exciting adventure, fashion and fame
...once you're a Gem girl you're never the same."That is a way outdated reference, and I tip my hat to anyone who remembers. It was Jem, though, not Gem, but the sound still triggers the same memories for me.I don't care for Gem on its own, but I think Gemma / Jemma is great. Short and sweet, versatile, and less usual than the similar sounding Jenna or Emma. ETA: I'll just link to what I'm talking about; I don't think anyone'll remember it. http://www.beyondjem.com/ or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20BZID081Vk

Haha, that's exactly what I thought of! I hadn't thought about Jem for quite some time. :)Also, I prefer Gemma over Gem.

"Truly, truly, truly outrageous...."I remember "Jem". I thought it was fabulous back in the day. I also love Gemma, but not the J spelling for some reason. Though the thought of her getting called Gem or Gemi (Jimmy) are a bit off-putting for me, that and getting mistaken for an Emma.
