Too surnamey.

I dislike it. I think it's not on the database for the simple reason it's considered a surname rather than a first name.

Perhaps you could use it for a boy if the father's name was Ole, or if Olsen the mother's maiden name or something. But even then I'd restrict it to middle name usage only. Otherwise, to me it's just another tryndee randym surname name picked without regard to family history.

And yes, it does remind me of the Olsen twins.

I automatically think of the Olsen twins. I prefer Orson, Olin, Nolan, Colton, and Coleman although Orson makes me think of the pig from "Garfield and Friends."

It's not in the data base, for the simple reason that it is a last name. Danish (that's what I am) as well as Norwegian. "The Son of Ole" or more correct "Ole's son" is what it means and I really don't like it, since Olsen is one of the most used last names here and that it is a last name.
