The digital phone directory lists 184 KAMPRADs in Germany which means there may be around 500 - 600.
KAMPFRAD appears 5 (> 15) times, CAMPRAD 4 (> 12) times.
Neither of these names appear in any of my books. So my guess would be:
KAMPF (fight, battle) + RAD (counsil)
or (less likely):
KAMP (field, camp) + RAD
KAMPF is unusual in a personal name, but maybe it has replaced an older GUND or WIG. I don't know.
