[Opinions] Veritas
WDYT of Veritas as a middle name? I'm currently digging it for either sex, perhaps slightly more for a boy. These are the combos I've had in my head lately--what do you think of them? I'd prefer comments on the combos as a whole to "I like:", thanks. :)Simon Veritas
Edmond Veritas
Lucien VeritasKatharine Veritas
Claudette Veritas
Shani VeritasI'm rather unoriginal in the FN department right now, I know. :D I'm attached to my top seven or ten, and playing with those suits me.Thanks!ArrayETA: I should mention that I am aware that Veritas was the Roman goddess of truth, but I'm looking at it more as a word or virtue name than a mythological name--thus the question of preferring it more on one sex over the other. :)

Veritas Aequitas? :)All I think of is the saying from Boondock Saints.I don't like it as a name, but I do think it could work for either gender. I like Edmond Veritas and Katharine Veritas the best of your combos.

I have to say that I did immediately think "girl", but now I really do think I like it better for a boy. Great name!Simon Veritas- This is weird, but I like how the combo opens and closes with an S. Good flow, too.
Edmond Veritas- Love Edmond. The whole combo has kind of a regal feel to it.
Lucien Veritas- Not feeling this one quite as much, and I can't really say why. Sorry. Katharine Veritas- All right combo, but Katharine seems a little plain next to Veritas.
Claudette Veritas- Somehow this doesn't flow as well imo. It's hard getting into the mn rhythm coming off the second syllable of Claudette...doesn't that make any sense at all? :P
Shani Veritas- Nice. Shani is nms, but the names go well together.

I'm all for unusual/weird/special middle names! That's what a middle name is for LOL
Veritas strikes me as a very beautiful middle name and I definitely prefer it for a boy. I also believe that if you're going to use an 'unusual' middle name you should be more sensible when it comes to first names so I think it's a good thing you use "unoriginal" first names. I really like Simon Veritas.

It's also Latin for truth, and the name of short lived show in 2002, VeritasI like it, Verity is also an option, though it is more girly. :)

I think it's a nice MN for a boy. But preferably with another FN than Simon, Edmond or Lucien. Ptolemy Veritas? Morpheus Veritas? Simon Veritas - ok, but I don't really like Simon
Edmond Veritas - same thing
Lucien Veritas - that's better (but you can do even better than this I think)Katharine Veritas - Doesn't flow very well
Claudette Veritas - that's ok
Shani Veritas - Flow is nice, but Shani is just nms.

Wow. Love it on a boy. Veritas for a boy, Verity for a girl. I don't know why, but in my mind they break down that way. All of your combinations are very handsome, but Edmond Veritas is my favorite.

I think it would make a very cool middlename, and would fit well in to your naming style. Veritas (and its many forms) is pretty much my favorite word though, so I may be biased. :)I find Lucien Veritas to be very striking, but Edmond Veritas is a bit calmer, if that is what you are looking for. Simon Veritas seems to lack something that I can not put my finger on. I think Simon Ptolemy or Ptolemy Simon could be nice though... just throwing that out there. For some reason I like Veritas better on a male, but Katharine Veritas is my hands down favorite of the girls. It is classic and strong enough to hold the Veritas without it getting all the attention. Does that even make sense?Shani is cute, but kind of cutesy to go with Veritas, in my opinion. Claudette, is pretty, but the combo for somereason doesn't seem very substantial to me.I hope I make sense. I swear this makes sense in my head.

I think I prefer it more for a boy. I'm just wondering if people will have trouble with the meaning. (I had to go look it up.)Of the ones you listed, I prefer Lucien Veritas
