It's not the name of one or two specific spiders, it's a scientific term. It would be like naming a dog Homosapiens, or a person Ursus or Ornithorhynchus.

Actually...I like Neanderthal for a big dog (St. Bernard or Doberman, lol. Thanx for the idea!
