[Opinions] Haven?
Ok I keep switching genders, lol. I know like Haven for a girl, WDYT? any MN suggestions?
Also WDYT of Rainflower more as a (MN), I think it's gorgoeus! Any FN suggestions?
ETA: WDYT of Ireland & Jasmine? I've always loved it, and I want to go to Ireland someday [I don't have any money right now]. I've always loved Ireland [the country] ever since I was 5. Any MN suggestions?

There's definitely something about Haven that appeals to me, but only for a girl. I find it to be quite pretty :-) I've only met one Haven, an adorable little girl, whom I think the name suited very well. I wouldn't mind seeing this name a little more often.
Rainflower isn't my style, but I suppose I can see why someone else might find it appealing. I think it's better suited as a MN, but perhaps that's just because it doesn't fit in with my naming preferences.
Ireland is a GP for me...another that I can see the appeal in.
I love Jasmine! I think it works well as a FN or a MN. I find it to be so lovely sounding.

Haven is quite pretty; I've never met anyone with the name, and it feels more feminine to me. Rainflower sounds like it might be a fairy's name, but it's kinda cute and quirky. I really really like Ireland (for a girl; it's been on my list for 5 or 6 years), and Jasmine is nice enough, simply because I love the flower and used to know a really sweet little girl with this name.
I like Haven for a boy, I'm not to fond of it for a girl. Rainflower is okay as a MN, with a more mainstream FN.
I'm sorry but I'm not very creative with FN/MN suggestions right now...

Lol.
Now that's it more acceptable and mainstream (whereas before it didn't rank), I like it. I find it funny, however, that now it's 100% girl. The only Havens I've ever met (5 total) have been male. And the only book that has my name in it is about a man. I still don't really like the name, mainly because I spent the majority of my life correcting people about my name.
I love Rainflower, btw. Definitely the way to go.

did you ever read...
"That Summer" by Sarah Dessen? Because the main character in that book is a girl named Haven. She has to correct people who think her name is Heaven. :)

lmao
So do I.
I remember humiliating myself in class once. I was using Elizabeth, and my professor was taking role-call. I wasn't paying attention, and she asks for Elizabeth. I raise my hand. She then asks for heaven. I raise my hand again.
Needless to say I turned bright red, had to explain the situation, and everyone got a good laugh.

aw [m]
I've done that, well not using another name. Someone called for Serena and I raised my hand, LOL. Also, I was always the only Sabrina in my classes except for one time and well the other Sabrina's LN is before mine so when they called her we both raised our hands and looked at eachother like "what the...". LOL. I felt so embarrased.
I honestly don't see how someone get's Haven from Heaven they sound completely different, IMO.

maybe...
Because they're one letter apart, they rhyme if said correctly, and Heaven is more recognizable than Haven.
Honestly: People don't get heaven from saying my name, but from reading it. And because they're not familiar with it, they're going to call me everything under the sun before they get it. It's gotten much better, but I still get a lot of mistakes. Then again, I haven't really used the name for quite some time.

Really you like both? (well I now you like your name)? I still ike it on a boy, but at the moment love it on a girl [I have no idea why these switches all the time.
