During the past five years a lot of things have happened. Two years ago Charlotte had twin girls but they both died only one day old. They were born one months early and were very weak. Charlotte had hoped for girls and was devastated when they died. She partly blamed herself for Anna and Maria's death and never really recovered. Only a few months later Charlotte got sick and many believed that she didn't want to get well again. She joined her twin girls in the beginning of December 1918.
Alexander Lucas participated in the WWI but only during a few months. He was severely injured and lost his left arm. He was sent back home but was traumatized. A young girl named Alice Grace made him enjoy life again. They are now engaged and so is Alexander's younger brother August James.
