I like Callie, both as a formal name and as a nn (for Calista, Caroline, Camilla etc).
I think Callie or Kelly is better than Kally. Kally looks like a misspelt Kelly to me.
I don't pronounce Callie and Kelly the same way, since I don't pronounce A and E the same way. But obviously you do?
