Jackie and Paula are having some financial problems. After Casey was born, the couple decided they didn't need any more children. But Paula unexpectedly got pregnant 2 years later- with twins. Ben and Tori were born, and the family began to feel the pressure of having 8 children in the house. Money was not as readily accessible as it had been. 2 years later, Paula was pregnant again, and the situation only worsened. Jackie and Paula got into a huge fight about whether or not to abort the child. Jackie was convinced it was necessary- they barley had enough money as it was. But Paula strongly opposed abortion, and decided that one more wouldn't make a huge difference. After Isabel was born, Jackie got a Vasectomy, to prevent another unwanted pregnancy.
Casey is doing just fine in kindergarten. She has a group of three lovely friends who are sweet and don't treat Casey any differently than any of the others.
