[Opinions] Bevan for a girl
Bevan is a boys name but I prefer it on a girl and would consider it seriously.

The only one I know is a girl and she spells it Bevin.
The only Bevan I've met (unsure of the spelling) was a girl, so I thought it was a girl's name until I came to this site. :b I don't see a problem with using it for a girl because it's not a very common name in general, at least not in the U.S., so I don't think a girl with the name would automatically be confused for a boy, etc.
Edited to add: I just saw that others have pointed out that Bevin is the "feminine" version of the name, so I'd say that would be a perfectly legitimate spelling and use of the name on a girl. :) It's cute too, imo.

I see Bevan and think of Beaver. Not a great association.

I dont' like Bevan for either a boy or girl.
I've only ever heard it used on a boy, but it always seemed really feminine to me
Why not Bevin?
Bevin is a girl's name and very similar to Bevan. So why choose a boy's name?

I've only seen it used on females ...
... so although I've only seen it a couple of times, I'd normally imagine it to be a girls' name. I think it's pretty.

Hate the name for either a male or female. Sorry!
:)
:)
It means "son of Evan". Case closed.

Although Alison means "son of Alice"...

No it doesn't, it's just a mediaeval form of Alice

I never heard Bevan as a boy's name. I've heard it as an Irish girl's name, but I'm not sure how that would be spelled. I think it has a nice sound to it, but I would check on the spelling just to be sure.
There's an Irish girls' name Béibhinn ... It's pronounced BAY-vin, but one of its Anglicised forms could easily be BEV-in :-)

I grew up with a girl named Bevin. I think it's cute for a girl too, but that's probably because I'm used to it :-)
EDIT: I just looked Bevin up and it said that it's a Feminine name. That could work :-)
