James Michael as a double first name is far too long it will be certain to be shortened once the child goes to school, Hyphenated and double first names are very trendy in my area at the moment, I go into my childrens school to read with them and their classmates and the only double names that survive beyond reception are the very short ones like Lily-Mae.
I think James Michael is better as a first and middle name.

I think it is really boring and predictable, both as a fn-mn and as a double first name. I like James well enough, Michael is fine as a mn with an interesting fn, but James needs a much more interesting mn IMO

I like it only as a FN MN. It doesn't sound right as a double first name. I'd actually rather see Michael James, just because it flows a bit better.

That is a great combo! They go well together as a first and middle name. James Michael or Michael James works.

I love the combo James Michael (two of my favourite names!), but only if James is the first name and Michael is the middle name, not as a double first name.

I think I'd rather see it as a first and a middle. I doubt anyone would want to actually call him James Michael anyway. It's sort of a lot for just a first name.
