[Opinions] Gerund
In high school I had an English teacher who wanted to name her first son Gerund (like the grammatic term). I don't know if she actually ended up doing it, but she was very serious about it. So, wdyt? To be honest, I couldn't believe she wanted to name her son that. I would hate to have a name that meant "a verbal noun in Latin that expresses generalized or uncompleted action". Though I guess it's not too horrible since it's only two letters off from Gerald, which is an okay name.

That's really bad. Especially coming from anr English teacher. I once met a girl named Retina because her father was an eye doctor.

I'm guilty in that I sort of like it. =D My 9th grade English teacher was horrible with the gerunds though and also the dissecting of sentences (and this is a noun....an adjective. Oooh, a verb!), so I have no clue why I like to say Gerund. ... Gerund. Also, she used to call us "pseudo-intellectuals." Well, to be truthful, she called my classmates that; I kept my mouth shut so she didn't know if I was or not. =D

Ugh. I hope she doesn't get to name anymore children.
"Hi, these are my kids Gerund, Adjective, and Conjunction."
Edited for spelling.

Haha ... I actually asked her what her other kids would be named and she said something along the lines of adjective and conjunction ... I really hope she was just joking.
