Help[Opinions] Keilor
While I was in high school, I met an exchange student from Costa Rica named Keilor (pronounced as either KEE-lor or KIE-lor; I heard people call him both). Because of him, I have nice associations with this name, but I've never heard it anywhere else.

As in Garrison Keillor?
Sounds made-up, but I automatically think of Garrison Keillor (KEE-ler or KEEL-er), so unless you're related to him, I'd say it's a no-go. :b

I think the "name" is awful. I'm going to assume this is a made up name (maybe a take off on Taylor or Kyle). I always say half of a name's charm comes from its origin and history and this name doesn't have either (if you can prove me wrong, then do so). Second reason I think it's awful is because indeed I'm not sure how to say it based on the spelling. Lastly the sound of the "name" is awkward.

I've heard Kyler. but I don't care for it. and this spelling looks off to me.
