What are your opinions on the name Carly? I can't help but love it atm, also what do you think of Lauren, i Know it's either seen as trendy or dated but i'm really liking it atm and it doesnt seem to be used alot anymore, at least in my area

I like Carly but prefer Carla. Lauren is common but nice.

I don't like Lauren or Carly, they're boring IMO. Prefer Laurel and Callie as a nn for Caroline or Calista.

I have never met a Carly who wasn't obnoxious to me. It has really put my off the name. It also sounds very dated to me. I think Lauren is pretty, though I have had Laurel stuck in my head for a while now.

I like it, its fun and frisky, and always makes me start singing "you're so vain"
I think that Carly and Lauren in conjunction either direction sounds good.
Don't know about the UK, but in the US Lauren is more unisex, but stronger on the female front.
