Depends on the ln for me. Emilio is not going to sound good with the ln McCartney for example, whereas Elliot McCartney sounds good. So it's all in the surname.

Well, I don't like either but I like Emilio better that Elliot.

I really like Elliot, but Emilio is different and refreshing. I do like both, but I think I'd try talking you into using Emilio before Elliot

Elliot, but they're not very interchangable to me because of the language/origin difference. I do like Emil though, but still probably Elliot would win.
