Gia Mercedesis a 22 year old student at the University of New Mexico where she is studying Anthropology and Sociology. She works part-time at a local American Indian museum and is enthralled by the native American culture. Gia's hobbies include horseback riding, kayaking, and hiking as well as various team sports and wants a partner who shares her passion for the outdoors. She has also always thought of adopting, but doesn't want to give up having her own biological children.
ROUND 1--

It's been a whirlwind romance for Gia and Finn ... they met seven months ago at a football game, of all places. Finn was covering the game for his tv station and Gia was just out with some friends, having a good time. Little did she know that her 'good time' would land her face to face with the hunky guy from Channel 7's nightly sports brief! She jumped at the opportunity and invited him out for drinks after the game. They have been inseparable ever since -- In fact, they just got married last month and have been on a honeymoon road-trip across the country. Gia has made preparations to move in with Finn (he has a decent sized split-level). The couple plans to wait at least until Gia has finished up with her schooling (only another semester!) to think about having children, though they both DO want to be parents within the pretty near future.

Gia finished up her classes at UNM and graduated two days after she and Finn found out they were pregnant with the newly born Lucy. About a month later, Finn received a call from a fairly prestigious sports company based in London, wanting him to become a spokesman for their products. The couple decided that he should jump on the opportunity to experience life "across the pond" and plan to move before Lucy's first birthday. Gia has stayed out of the full time workforce, simply continuing her part-time shifts at the Native American Museum (it seemed the only logical choice since she was pregnant and now will be moving shortly). They have decided that with the baby and the relocation, they'll wait a while to decide on a pet. :)
