I think it's really pretty and I've always adored the meaning of the name.

I actually like this name as an alternative of anastasia, but maybe its a bit too cute, like most 'ee' names, however there is nothing strange about it. Is it anna-stay-zee or anna-staa-zee? Where i come from anastasia is pronounced anna-staa-zha (anastasja), so even anna-staa-zhee is possible. Anastasi is a popular greek surname.

Anastasia is my favourite name of all time...but sadly I do not like Anastasie...although I wish I did, because it would go better with my french surname.

It reminds me a bit of Ilya Nastase ("nah-STAH-zee"), the male (Romanian?) tennis player from the 1970's. But I have pleasant memories of his humor so it's not a bad association. That does put me more in the mind of Romanian names than French ones, but the slightly exotic air it lends is appealing to me today.

So that's a long winded way of saying I like it very much. :-) But I wouldn't pronounce it exactly the same way you do. I'd keep the stress more evenly disbursed and falling more, if at all, on the third syllable. I know the conventional wisdom is that all stress falls on the last syllable of French words / names. But in practice I'm not so sure that's entirely true. But I may be stuck on the Ilya Nastase reference / pronunciation so don't quote me on this.

I think that's not an intuitive pronunciation for many native English speakers, so in an English speaking country it might be a struggle to enforce.
