I really love the name, it's so poetic...but I lived with my ex who was named Kenneth. Would it be too weird if I used Kendrick?

I really like Kendrick (much more so than Kenneth) and don't think it's weird at all for you to use one day. As long as you and your SO don't mind, that's all that counts.

No...I don't think weird.Kendrick and Kenneth aren't the same name. But if you'll think Kenneth everytime...then it might be better not to use it.

Kendrick is nice, but I do think the Kendrick/Kenneth similarity is too obvious.

Nope, Kendrick is totally different from Kenneth.
