I only came across this name thismorning. It is the name of an author who wrote a book called 'Bach Flower therapy' It is registered as a user submitted name here as a variant of Mechtilde. Either way I think it is interesting. I think I prefer it spelt with the 'e'but that would have to be pronounced which I don't like the idea of.
