[Opinions] Vettori?
The sister of one of the woman I work with came in today with her 9 year old son, named Vettori. They just called him Tori.
WDYT?

A BOY called Tori? Just...no. I'm sorry to be mean, but that sounds so wrong. Not to mention the fact that Vettori sounds like the parents were striving for pretentiousness. All I can think of is a Corvette mixed with some kind of pasta brand.
It' s really weird. Means "vectors" in Italian.
Sounds like it's related to Victor.
It is kind of neat. I like it I think. Like Vittori better though.

I think it's ok, but it reminds me too much of Vittorio Orlando, which isn't necessarily that bad, it's just a connection.
The captain of the national cricket team here in NZ is Daniel Vettori, and that's all I can think of when I hear that name. Maybe the parents are insane cricket fans? It's quite nice though.
I'm in NZ too :) Daniel Vettori was the first thing I thought of as well, but I didn't ask if he was named after him...
Completely OT
I LOVE YOUR SIG! I seriously just laughed loudly for about a minute straight because of it!

lol why thank you! Do you/have you watched Green Wing?
It just looks like Vittorio or Vittore spelled wrong or a creative version of it, and it has the air of a surname about it.

Is she of Italian heritage, or just being "creative?" I've never heard of it, and it sounds like a last name to me. If it is in honour of someone in their family or it's a family last name, I think it's nice. If it's just a random last name, I find it a bit odd, but there are far worse.
i dont like it...
