I know a little girl named Raynee, pronounced the same as Rainey. They chose that spelling after her great-grandmother Ray though.

How about Rainier for a boy? Linguistically unrelated, though I think.

Rain is kinda pretty, I know a girl named that (tho fine for either gender)Her siblings all have nature names too, if can remember- Sage, Leaf- some others I can't remember. They are Native American.
