I Am Writing A Short Story, And Cannot For The Life Of Me Decide On A Name For The Main Character (Female, 16).
I Have Narrowed It Down To A Few That I Find Fairly Fitting. Which Do You Prefer?

Kokoro
Hatsumiko
Kohaku
Michiru
Momoko
Shizuru

If it's meant for western readers think those names are too difficult for them to pronounce in their minds - how about something simpler like Akiko, Mariko, or Yuko?
My favourite is Akiko.

Kokoro and Momoko are my favorites. I like Kohaku, but I prefer it on a boy.

First, Please Do Not Type Like This. It Kinda Freaks Me Out. Thanks.

Is this a modern story? The -ko ending is not popular in Japan right now (meaning, Momo is more likely than Momoko, and Hatsumi is more likely than Hatsumiko)

I like Kokoro; the meaning is excellent. I also like Momo, but it reminds me of Peach Girl.

Well, Tell You The Truth, Popularity Isn't Really A Thing For Me.
I Don't Mind Popular Names, But I Do So Adore The -ko Snippet In Names.
