[Opinions] Re: Annunziata and Paolo
in reply to a message by Aileen
Well, for me Annunziata feels very dated as well as somewhat working class. It's the kind of name that, along with Addolorata, Concetta, Immacolata, used to be very popular but has pretty much fallen entirely out of use. Moreover, most Annunziata's seemed to go by Nunzia (which is quite ugly IMO). This said, Annunziata Vivian is kinda cute.
Paolo is my dad's name, so if I ever have a son I'd probably try to use it for honouring purposes, but more as a mn because I find it a bit boring. Paolo Dimitri and Paolo Constantine work well and yes, I too think of the King of Belgium when I see Leopold (possibly because of a conference I went to) but it doesn't bother me. There's also a bunch of Austrian emperors by the name.
