I came across this name in a novel, it's Hebrew and apparently means "consolation". I love the meaning. WDYT?

The name signifies comfort in distress. You might sometimes see it transliterated Nechama - the h (ch) sound is similar to the ch in loch.
I like the name (and know a Nehama) but that sound can often prove difficult to achieve!
The male equivalent is Nahum/Nachum, btw. Nehemiah is kin to it.

Thanks for the info! I had no idea it was related to Nahum. The "ch" problem might be a sound, I never manage to wrap my tongue around that.
