As long as I have loved the name Adelaide, I did not know it was a place. I guess I had never looked that far into the meaning. I'm glad that you mentioned that one.
I knew that Paris was the prince of Troy but since it's such a popular place I only think of it as a place.

Adelaide is a city in Australia
But I am sure that the city was named after a person, not the other way around. Adelaide is an old name.
