[Opinions] A sibset I heard and a confusing BA
Haven't been on in a while, my computer's been playing up, but I've been saving this sibset for about 2 weeks:
Maia and Bella (twins) and Luka (boy). Don't know if these are the right spellings as I only heard them said, but these are the most common ones in NZ I think.
I like the twins' names, even if they are a bit matchy, at least they're not the same name, or rhymey or anything. Both names have been quite popular here in the last 3 or 4 years, so they'll probably be one of a few at school, but at least they're not Madison and McKenzie! I really really like Luka too. WDYT?And yesterday I was reading the birth announcements in the paper and came across this clanger: Mostyn. I'm pretty sure it was a boy, but what on earth is it meant to be? How would you pronounce it? Have you ever heard it before?

Aye Maia Bella Luka? Oh man those names are all getting far too popular. The ~a endings annoy me a lot. Plus I was running them all together like Maiabellaluka, then it became Mailaluka.Have you seen any Madisons or Mackenzies in your BAs, or when you have been out and about in general? (Just curious because I haven't)Mostyn is a bit funny.

Haven't seen any Madisons in a while, but there were a few last year and the couple of years before I think. McKenzie I think hit its high point here a couple of years after the character on Shorty St (remember her?!), but I don't think it was ever really uber-popular.

Lol well, shock horror, I could never get into Shorty and really have no idea about characters or anything, but I can see how McKenzie might become popular because of that.I believe there is a character called Maia on there no? ^^,

Yeh there is. I haven't figured out whether people are naming their babies because of the character (I don't know why, she can be a bit of cow lol) or whether the character was named because it was a name that was becoming popular at the time. I think it might be the latter, especially with McKenzie, who was one of the top Short St villains lol - don't know why parents would name their children after a murderer!

Maia, Bella and Luka is a great sib set. I like it a lot. I'd prefer Mia to Maia though.Mostyn is terrible, don't like it at all.

I hate Bella, but Maia (pronounced MY-ah) I like. I like Luka, too.Mostyn is a Welsh place-name according to the database.

Oh! that makes sense. I didn't even think to look it up since it looked so made-up lol. Oops.
