[Opinions] Being a Brit too (m)
I've also only seen/heard it on males. I had an English teacher in school called Bryn Lastname and that's sealed it as a male name in my mind.If I saw a female Bryn (or Brynn) being used here I'd think the parents were very swayed by American trends so would expect siblings to be called Madison, Bailey, Tyler, Jayden etc. I hope it remains 'male' here and I've not seen it used on a girl as yet. I think it might remain male because of Rob Brydon's character in 'Gavin and Stacey'. Outside of Wales the programme will possibly be the only experience that most people have of the name Bryn and there's nothing feminine about Rob Brydon really.I love Bryn and Brynn and I think I would use them. Theodore Bryn is my second combo at the moment.
