[Opinions] Re: Annakiya
I like it. ah-nah-KEE-yah feels much more natural, and it's very pretty. It does sound like it's related to Annika, but not so much like a creative form as an extra diminutive. Like, Anna -> Annika -> Annakiya. Unfortunately, that makes the name sound a bit cutesy to me, especially with the meaning (which is cute...but a bit cuteSY too). It also makes me really enamored with the idea of Anne, nicknamed Annakiya (though not etymologically related.)I might not have thought of it as an Ann- name if other posters hadn't mentioned it though, so I don't think it's a big deal. In fact, I see no problem with it sounding like it relates to Anne/Anna/Annika, I think the connection is nifty. As to nicknames for Annakiya, I like the idea of Annie, Nancy or Kiki. Actually, Nanny would be better than Nancy. Okay, nevermind, Nanny's unusable. Never cared for Nikki but it's all right and certainly works for Annakiya.Nia would be a sweet nickname too.

Nia is cuteThanks for your opinions. Sweet face is cutesy-wootsy, and normally I don't do cutesy-wootsy at all. I just like this one for some reason.
