Help[Opinions] Avy?
I just saw Avy on the credits of a movie I was watching and I liked it. What do you think? It's a nice alternative to Ava / Eva / Eve. I'm not sure if it was a boys name or girls name, though. How would you pronounce it?

It's very, very similar to Avi
Which is a boy's name (and a favorite). I would probably pronounce it ah-vee.
As to what I think of it:
Torn. It's cute but rather unsubstantial to me. I'm not sure how well it would age

EV-vee was what I thought initially for the pronunciation.
My very first thought was 'short for avatar' (as in siggy = signature, etc.) though :S

Looks like a variation of Avi, which I pronounce AH-vee (like the author). I like it for either sex okay, but I prefer it on a boy (and on a girl, I'd rather see it as a nickname).
