[Opinions] Re: How do you pronounce Madeline/Madeleine/Madelyn ?
In English, I say them all like Madelyn, i.e. "MAD-uh-lin".
I speak French too; I'd write the pronunciation of Madeleine more like "Mad(uh)Lenn". The 'a' in the "Mad" syllable is pronounced as written; it's only the 'e' in the middle which glides away to a slight 'uh sound. And then "eine" makes "enn". It's hard to write things out how you say them though, every combination of letters seems to make a different sound in different accents etc.!
Anyway, if it was an English girl, I'd still say it Madelyn, like Madeleine McCann.
