I think that Issa is a lovely name, although the -a sound originally gave me a feminine impression; however, so does Dana, which is of course a masculine name.

Actually I know several Dana's who are all girls.A lot of -a names for boys are pretty popular! Joshua, Luca, Isaiah, Elijah, Noah, Ezra. Another of my favorites is Ilya, which is similar to Issa and has a similar appeal: the tall I and the A at the end.
